Turning Mill and Estabrook School: A Retrospective
On Friday, February 1 at 8 PM at the Lexington Depot, the Lexington Historical Society will present a program on the history and evolution of one of Lexington’s mid-century modern neighborhoods, Turning Mill, and the elementary school that served it. Architectural historian Anne Grady, who has documented the Estabrook School in anticipation of its replacement with a new building, will relate the school design to the spirit of mid-century architecture and Sally Zimmerman from Historic New England will speak about the development of the neighborhood and its architectural significance.
This program is open to the public and is free.
