• The four clerestory windows above the kitchen island are powered and are operated by a panel of switches next to the sliding doors.
• The smaller of the clerestory windows in the master bedroom (high opposite the bed) is operated by a similar panel next to the bed. The panel has four switches, but only the top one is assigned something (Anderson only offered a four-switch setup).
• All of the shades in the master bedroom are powered. They are operated by remote control.
• The four sets of lights in the kitchen and living room are operated by a smart panel on the wall facing the island. The four sliders control and dim the lights. The pendants above the island are only controlled by this panel; the other lights are also controlled by traditional switches. The touchscreen on the panel allows control of other smart systems—including the video doorbell. The whole system (including the lights) can be operated by a voice assistant (e.g. Alexa). It can also be operated remotely by an app.
• The living room has four in-ceiling speakers. They are wired to an outlet under the desk with the stereo.
• There is a switch below the counter between the dishwasher and oven.  It controls a fan above the island and is meant to supplement the downdraft vent for the cooktop.
• All exterior lights (entry, stairs, path lights, and floods) are controlled by a light sensor. The actual switch is located immediately inside the front door.
• There is a gutter that runs along the point where the butterfly roof meets (you can see the downspout next to the sliding doors on the deck). It’s equipped with a heat trace cable to deal with ice. The switch is at the top of the basement stairs (it has a light indicator to show when it is on).
