Acton, MA-based Deck House was founded in the 1950s by architect William Berkes and CEO Robert Brownell, both of whom previously worked with Techbuilt and Snake Hill architect Carl Koch (see info here).
In 1995, Deck purchased Acorn Structures, a company founded in 1947 by John Bemis. Deck House was resuscitated by local businessman, Tom Trudeau, after the recent recession brought the 60+ year-old company to receivership.
